Cleanroom tip: What is the ideal placement for a cleanroom tacky/sticky mat?
Cleanroom sticky mats should be placed on the outside of the controlled environment in the gowning or buffer area. Place it in a location where several steps can be made on the mat before opening the door. Purchase a cleanroom sticky mat large enough to cover the entire length of the door plus additional coverage for either side of the door, depending on the point of entry (see figure 1). Four steps on the mat are ideal prior to entering the cleanroom.
